Every now and then you meet people who are truly inspiring.....We had a lovely family staying at the weekend who have taken a whole year out to cycle their way aroubd the country, making memories that will last a lifetime. Dad who is a pilot, has swapped the cockpit for a bike saddle, and together they're showing their children what an incredible adventure family life can be. As you can imagine, when you're travelling by bike you can't carry very much, so the children absolutely loved spending time playing with the toys here after their home schooling. They even took the time to draw sone lovely pictures for us wardens, which really made our day.A huge thank you to the Hugron family from France and your wonderful family for stopping by. Of course we had to reach out and help............Say a big Hello to Charlotte and Warren on their travels and if you can help with the fundraising I have added the link below.Me, my husband lola and twitch are walking the uk coast line in aid to raise as much awareness and funds and possible for the north west air ambulance . We havent a set goal and due to my illness and undergoing operation dates I struggle but my self husband and dogs will push our self through it all. We set off last year and due to a date with my op we came back we've been put off cancelled and (to he honest there's alot of people worse off than me) but yout get by it. Another lucky camper story from the Larick! We have a lovely couple travelling in their VW pop-top campervan, and what a story they had to tell!Back in 2022, Yvonne entered a prize draw through Aspire Competions Limited and bought just 3 tickets costing a total of £5.77. Amazingly, the winning ticket was number 28188, which had cost them just £1.79! That one little ticket won their fantastic VW campervan.As if that wasn't enough, part of the prize included a £500 donation to a charity of their choice, and Yvonne chose the wonderfull Strathcarron Hospice.Their campervan also has a very special name - 'Tosh'. The name comes from Alan's late brother's dog, who had a habit of disappearing during hill walks, but her brother always left his coat as the dog would casually turn up the next days as if nothing had happened!It's amazing to think that a £1.79 ticket led to years of adventures, new friendships and plenty of memories on the road.
