Tayport is on the south side of the Tay, four miles from the centre of Dundee, twelve miles from St Andrews, and 12 miles from Cupar.

The campsite is on the coast close to the northern entrance of Tentsmuir forest. Tayport common is adjacent to the site which we share with the Larick Community and Sports Centre.

From the north or from the south on the A92 turn off at the roundabout on the southern end of the Tay Bridge to the B946. From the south from St Andrews or Cupar take the B945 from St Michaels.

The best approach for vans and caravans is down Maitland and Nelson Streets. Be sure to take the third exit at the roundabout at the end of Maitland Street. The second exit takes you to the Promenade and Tayport Links Caravan Park. It has only static vans, and there are no touring pitches.

Nelson Street become Shanwell Road and the campsite is on the left just past the Larick Centre.

By public transport it is approximate 2 hours from Edinburgh and Aberdeen, and 3 hours from Glasgow.

The closest rail station is Dundee. The 42 bus to Tayport stops outside the station. There is a bus stop a short distance from the campsite.
