The Larick Centre Cafe – 20 Yards Away! Honestly it’s so close you can smell the coffee. The Cafe at the The Larick Centre serves lovely hot meals, light bites and snacks from 10am-3.30pm closing at 4pm. Perfect if you want a day off from cooking. And the cakes? Oh the cakes! They stock a delicious selection from Fisher & Donaldson, so if your partial to a proper Scottish bake (who isn’t), you’re in for a treat.
They also host a free Community Meal once a month at 5.30pm, and everyone is welcome – locals, visitors, campers, the lot! The next one is on 26th March so come along and join in.
Scotscraig Clubhouse – Right Next Door. Freshly renovated and looking very smart, Scotscraig Clubhouse is right beside the campsite and now open early for breakfast rolls (ideal if you’re heading out exploring). They also serve a selection of hot meals, so whether it’s a breakfast or something later in the day, you’re sorted without moving the motorhome!
Harbour Cafe – Coffee, Cake & Creativity. A short scenic walk along to the Tayport Harbour and you will find the Harbour Cafe which combines great food with local creativity. While you enjoy a homemade selection of sweet delights you can browse artwork from talented local artists exhibited inside – making it a lovely spot to relax and soak up the community atmosphere.
Bellrock Tavern – Harbour Walk (20 Minutes along the SeaWall) If you fancy stretching your legs, take the scenic walk along the seawall and you’ll reach the newly reopened Bellrock Tavern, right on the harbour walk featured in The Heritage Trail. They’re focussing on Indian dishes, pizzas, and some traditional English meals, plus there’s a bar if you fancy a drink with your meal. It’s a great option for an evening out with lovely views along the way – especially on a nice night.
Cobbies – Quirky, Cosy & Very Popular! Now this one is a bit of a local gem. Cobbies is a wonderful quirky little restaurant run by a couple who genuinely never seem to stop! They do all the cooking and serving themselves within a local bar, and it’s much loved by local residents. Great prices, fantastic quality, and a proper atmosphere – but fair warning……you must book ahead because they’re always in demand!
So whether you fancy a breakfast roll, a hot lunch, a curry by the harbour, or “just a wee cake” (which we all know is never just one) you’ve got great options right on your doorstep. No need to cook if you don’t feel like it. No washing up required!
